ASTET STUDIO UNVEILS INTERIOR DESIGN OF TORRE VELASCA’S PRIVATE SPACES
A contemporary interpretation of Milanese elegance within one of the city’s most iconic landmarks

Milan, Italy, 10 November 2025: Astet Studio unveils its latest project in Milan with the design of a series of interior spaces within the iconic Torre Velasca set to be completed in early 2026. Working within one of the city’s most emblematic buildings, the studio has reimagined a collection of environments that embody Milanese elegance with a contemporary flair.
The project is operated in partnership with Sunset Hospitality Group, a global leader in lifestyle hospitality known for creating exceptional destinations around the world. Renowned for its portfolio of distinctive concepts spanning dining, beach clubs, hotels, and wellness spaces, the group brings its expertise in curating elevated experiences to Torre Velasca.
Astet’s commission called for a sanctuary of luxury and style, blending classic and contemporary aesthetics. Across the spa and gym, a Members Club, and reception areas for the residences, Astet Studio has interpreted this vision through refined materiality, spatial contrast, and cultural reference.
On the 17th floor, the Madison House Members Club was conceived as a private retreat beyond time. Drawing from the Neo Liberty movement and the grand ingressi of Milanese buildings from the 1950s and 60s, the space layers deep tones of burgundy and green with velvet, stone, dark wood, and subtle metallic accents. The building’s sculptural geometry offered a dramatic yet poetic canvas, softened by rich textures to create an atmosphere of intimacy and exclusivity. The space is shaped not only by the natural light but also by the panoramic view of the Duomo, which served as a constant reference throughout the design process. This contrast between exterior vastness and interior softness defines the club’s unique identity.
Beneath ground level, the wellness area and gym take a different approach, embracing the brutalist language of Torre Velasca’s structure. Here, raw materials such as concrete are contrasted with dark wood and organic forms, fostering a sense of introspection, calm, and restoration. Without the distraction of natural light, the space is conceived as a cocoon, an urban sanctuary for relaxation and collective well-being.
A consistent design language runs through each area, ensuring fluid transitions and a unified sense of place. The historical and architectural identity of Torre Velasca forms the backbone of the design, with each space acting as a dialogue between the building’s past and a contemporary vision of Milanese sophistication.
Bespoke elements are present throughout the project. From custom furniture and lighting to made-to-measure surfaces, the emphasis on tailored design reflects Astet Studio’s commitment to craftsmanship and detail. Texture and colour play a central role, used to create contrast, elevate material richness, and articulate a refined and luxurious design.
Durable natural materials like solid wood and stone were prioritised to ensure longevity and minimise environmental impact. This focus on quality and timelessness aligns with Astet’s overarching philosophy: to create spaces that are not only beautiful and functional but that will endure.
With this project, Astet Studio reinforces its reputation for emotionally intelligent design, rooted in context and characterised by elegance, character, and restraint. In Torre Velasca, the studio has crafted a collection of spaces that honour Milan’s legacy by offering a new language of luxury for the present.
Ends.
