GRAND HOTEL MAS D’EN BRUNO BY ASTET STUDIO WINS 21st HOSPITALITY DESIGN AWARD 2025
This masterpiece of design and heritage, nestled in the Spanish wine region of Priorat, is the winner of the HD Design Awards 2025

Las Vegas, USA, 8 May 2025 - The Grand Hotel Mas d’en Bruno, a luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of Priorat, Spain, has been honoured with the prestigious 2025 Hospitality Design Award in the category of Restoration, Transformations + Conversions. The Award was presented to Barcelona-based design studio Astet during a ceremony held at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, coinciding with the HD Expo + Conference.
The 21st edition of the Hospitality Design Awards saw nearly 900 entries from around the globe, with a distinguished panel of 11 judges evaluating projects based on design innovation, functionality, sustainability, and overall impact.

Astet’s comprehensive design intervention at Grand Hotel Mas d’en Bruno encompassed the interiors of all guest rooms, the restaurant, the spa, reception, boutique and all common spaces. Their approach masterfully blends the historical essence of the original stone masonry with contemporary materials such as natural stone and oak wood, creating a harmonious dialogue between the past and the present. The design is further accentuated by burgundy hues, reflecting the region’s renowned wines, and the recurring motif of arches, a nod to both the hotel’s facade and its elegant interiors.
Opened in late 2024, Grand Hotel Mas d’en Bruno is a distinguished member of the Relais & Chȃteaux collection. Situated amidst the picturesque vineyards of Priorat, a region steeped in history and culture south of Barcelona, the hotel offers guests an immersive experience that celebrates the area’s rich winemaking heritage and architectural legacy.
