OF THE LAND: CONTEXTUAL INTERIORS BY ASTET

Rooted in context, Astet’s interiors express the essence of their locations. Through careful choices of materials and atmospheres, each space reflects local culture and geography, creating environments that feel both authentic and contemporary.
With a profound sensitivity to place, Astet Studio crafts interiors that go beyond aesthetics, forging a deep dialogue between design, local heritage, and cultural identity. From the vibrant streets of Madrid and Budapest to the dynamic landscapes of Dubai, each project tells a unique story - a thoughtful interpretation of its environment that resonates with both visitors and locals alike.
Presented here are four projects that embody Astet’s commitment to contextual design: Roostiq Bar Madrid, Alelí Budapest, Leña Dubai (including the exclusive Smoked Room). These interiors showcase how Astet harnesses materials, form and atmosphere to create spaces that are simultaneously rooted in their setting and boldly contemporary.
Alelí Budapest
Nestled in the heart of Pest, Alelí Budapest blends Italian culinary tradition with warm rustic elegance. The design employs noble materials such as wood and terracotta, hand-crafted ceramics and locally inspired frescoes to create a welcoming atmosphere that evokes the convivial spirit of long countryside lunches. Astet’s holistic approach ensures every element from furniture to lighting weaves a sensory and emotional experience deeply connected to the cultural fabric of the place.

Bibo Budapest
Perched atop the Dorottya Hotel, Bibo Budapest redefines surrealist design through a dreamlike fusion of gastronomy and architecture. Astet Studio captures the city’s dynamic energy using reflective surfaces and a deep blue palette that flows organically across sculptural volumes and intimate dining spaces. The interiors evoke an ethereal atmosphere where Budapest Castle is mirrored and floral motifs float in suspension inviting guests into an immersive sensory journey between design and dreams.

Leña Dubai and Smoked Room
Rooted in the primordial elements of fire and earth, Leña Dubai channels the essence of primal textures with charred wood, stone and organic forms. The space is enveloped in intense black hues inspired by the Yakisugi technique and punctuated by sculptural lighting that evokes flames and embers. Adjacent to Leña, the Smoked Room offers an intimate Fire Omakase experience within a minimalist, sophisticated environment defined by contrasts of light, texture and shadow, creating a seamless dialogue between culinary craft and spatial storytelling.

Nota Blu
Inspired by the Mediterranean in both spirit and palette, Nota Blu unfolds as a refined yet relaxed dining space where natural textures and cobalt blue accents evoke the essence of southern coastal living. Creamy microcements, stone flooring and warm wood tones create a soft, organic atmosphere, while generous plant installations and sculptural arches introduce a sense of movement and nature. A fluid transition between indoor and outdoor areas allows the experience to shift effortlessly from sophisticated dining to laid-back terrace living, blurring the boundaries between architecture and environment.
